Holding space, creating trust, and opening the lines of communication through sex therapy.

It isn’t inherently easy to decide you’re ready for therapy. Sometimes, taking that first step and reaching out can feel like a risk. In life, we can get stuck on the way things are instead of the way they could be.

We operate from the belief that therapy should be warm and welcoming. That there’s no shame in exploring your sexuality, healing difficult trauma, and addressing issues that may even feel scary to admit out loud.

Therapy is meant to be an accepting, safe place for you to address trauma that keeps surfacing, conflicts that won’t go away, and even betrayals in your relationships.

Through sex therapy, trauma processing, and couples therapy, we have cultivated an environment where you’ll have space to share what’s coming up for you and find new paths forward.

OUR SPECIALITIES

Relatable guidance, approachable support.

Sex Therapy for Couples and Individuals

Love and sex are a part of life, and having a space to talk about them without the judgment or taboo is what sex therapy is all about. Our approach is a talk-based psychotherapy where we’ll talk candidly about the sex you want to be having, the challenges you have with sex, and areas where you’d like to explore your sexuality.

Some of what we can address in therapy:

  • Having different desires from your partner (one person wants sex more than the other)

  • Feeling like your emotional or physical needs aren’t met in a relationship

  • Struggling to heal after infidelity or sexual betrayal

  • Sexual functioning, vulval & vaginal pain, erectile dysfunction, and performance anxiety

  • Exploring BDSM, kinks, polyamory, or other non-traditional relationship structures

No nudity, sexual contact, or sexual acts occur in session. The focus is on exploring issues of sexual health, intimacy, and pleasure.

Couples & Relationship Therapy

If you and your partner are having communication issues by repeating the same fights or reliving past conflicts, couples therapy is a calm, safe space to uncover and resolve issues within your relationship. When both partners begin therapy with a willingness to communicate and make changes, the healing process can truly begin. With a relational approach, we explore both individual and wider impacts of the issue you’re experiencing. Over time, you’ll shift negative relationship patterns and rediscover connection.

Trauma Processing Therapy

Trauma is complex because it lives in the body, affects your emotions, and makes you relive pain all over again. It can feel overwhelming to recount that trauma, especially because it was an event that had a major impact on your life. With the support of EMDR, we address the somatic, emotional, and mental impacts of trauma. If you have experienced sexual assault, sexual trauma, or medical trauma, this is a safe place for you to move through the trauma. When you can fully process, you find ways to unlock what’s been feeling stuck so you can feel relief.

Alternative Relationship Structures

Society leads us to believe that there is only one permissible type of romantic relationship. But really, there are so many ways to experience meaningful love outside of what’s traditional. If you’re exploring sexual orientation or gender identity, opening up a monogomous relationship, discovering kinks for the first time, or navigating separation or divorce, we’re here to help you find a truer, more authentic sexual expression. LGBTQIA+ are always welcome here.

When you commit to therapy, you commit to making meaningful change in your life.
